A local haulier in the Silkeborg district of Denmark required abrasion resistance protection inside a tipper truck designed for transport of metal scrap. Our approved applicator Silkeborg Autolakering, together with the technical team from VIP advised the use of QuickSpray Supreme Slow, a special abrasion resistance liner with an extra long open time for a very smooth finish. The tipper was sandblasted to SA 2 ½ grade and cleaned, than primed with the QuickPrime 1K PU universal for a superior bond to the substrate and than coated using a WIWA PU 280 hotspray machine. The film thickness of at least 10mm was achieved throughout and the pull of tests turned up an extremely good adhesion to the substrate, and as such the tipper truck is now well protected and the customer can transport all the different metals and iron ore that heis hauling all over Europe. The sheer speed of completion of the task was very favourable as the customer took the trailer back into service after just 2 days at the workshop.
