The Company Epoke manufactures salt spraying equipment as well as saltwater sprayers and salt water mixing boxes. The mixing boxes were supposed to be coated with a flexible, machine applied fast coating system for superior surface protection in black. To save time and money the customer choose the QuickSpray Industrial (aromatic), a 100% Polyurea 2-K Surface Coating based on Polyamine technology.

The work was carried out in 3 easy steps:

1. Both parts of the mixing box were sandblasted as per ISO Norm in a groove depth of SA 2 ½.
2. Then the aromatic Polyurea QuickSpray in black was applied using a Graco Reactor HXP-2 hot spray machine.
3. Within a few minutes the to part is fitted into the base tank and both parts are connected through mechanical fixation with screws.

This process can be completed in a very short space of time and the mixing boxes get a far better weathering profile and are a lot more versatile for loading with heavy loader.
An extra bonus for the customer is the longer working life of the mixing boxes when compared to the old conventional coating system.
