Refurbishment of the inflatable rubber dam was done in 2022. The rubber dam can be inflated or deflated to provide the surrounding areas protection against excessive water during the rainy season. Typically a generic polyurethane coating was applied on the rubber dam to protect the rubber dam for heavy abrasion against water and the harsh UV exposure. However, because of the heavy abrasion, the coating will need to be re-coated within a few months. The QuickFloor 400 SF Slow Polyaspartic coating was selected due to its high abrasion resistance properties and ease of application by roller, which will provide the rubber dam a protective coating, ensuring a longer maintenance cycle.
