NAFFCO is an OEM vehicle manufacturer, specializing in fire fighting trucks and ambulances. NAFFCO approached VIP for a solution towards coating the interior cabins of its trucks and ambulances. The system also required anti bacterial approvals for Ambulance floors there-fore QuickFloor 500 was added.
The metal areas were light grinded and applied with QuickPrime SS. A thickness of 2 mm Quick-Spray Industrial was sprayed using a Graco EXP2 plural component reactor. Finally QuickFloor 500 was roller applied in the same RAL color as the Industrial coating at a thickness of 250 microns. Special importance was given to the overcoat windows in order to attain perfect adhe-sion between the layers.
The coating system is now incorporated in NAFFCOs production line as part of the vehicles manufacturing process. Older and damaged trucks can now be offered an in-house repair sys-tem to improve the overall appeal and performance of the vehicle.
