Ben Guryon International Airport

Ben Guryon International Airport – Israel

VIP Coatings and Bitum had a project at the Ben Guryon International Airport, Israel. The goal was to recoat a metal roof, which was coated with an old polyurethane.

Preparation and coating of the roof took place in the following steps:

  1. The constructor removed (peeled) the old coat and reveald the original substrate (brown). In places where the roof was hardly damaged, the constructor replaced the metal with a new one (white). In case of small holes and damages – he used VIP QuickPatch to fix these areas.
  2. The roof was washed with a special product to protect the roof from corrosion.
  3. Applying Primer
  4. Applying Polyurea – QuickSeal PP350
  5. Because of the size of the roof, the application of the polyurea took several days. The use of QuickPrime 1K PU was necessary to combine the new and old application of QuickSeal PP350.
  6. Applying Topcoat
