BWS SB and Indian Hume Pipe Co. Ltd. chose the reliability, and experience of VIP’s partner in India to supply and apply a Polyurea coating solution to prevent corrosion and abrasion of sewage pipes.

Processing took place in the following steps:

1. Grinding sharp edges and undulations.

2. Filling up the pores with filler material.

3. Primer application – Left tack free 3 hrs.

4. Polyurea coating thickness of 1.5 mm.

A qualified team of applicators was setup to meet the stringent requirements of the government board. The coated pipes were randomly tested by BWSSB engineers and an independant laboratory. The coating – product and application met all requirements of the specifiying engineers.
