Water, waves, surfing and lots of fun – all this is offered by FlowRider’s surf parks.
One of FlowRider’s surf parks is located in the Sommarland surf paradise in Telemark, Norway, which recently had to be renewed. It is a 200 m² FlowRider which is linked to the other fun pools in the complex.
The old Polyurethane coating was worn out and no longer functional, and our partner RECREA from Sweden was asked to renew the coating. Together, we decided on a customized LeisureLine Supreme System and added foam to replicate the Surfers Wave and to provide a long term-solution that will last for years to come.
After applying our Quickprime 1K PU system, a special soft PU Foam was applied with our Quickfill SL Joint Filling System. A layer of Quickseal MP250 Flexible Hybrid Polyurea was then applied to create a uniform seamless base layer. This was followed by the aliphatic, colour-stable Quickspray Supreme AL over the whole repair area. Finally, the Polyaspartic QuickFloor 400 SF slow was applied in the main Surfing zone of the FlowRider to provide a very smooth gliding surface for the optimal wave experience.
Our new technical specialist Marko Gubanc was on site to guide RECREA through the project and even under the difficult weather conditions the applicator managed to complete the job.
