This man made lagoon is the central focal point around which a new city is being built in honour of his Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Initially designed to incorporate a 38 hectare crystalline lagoon with 14 kilometers of white sands, it will become the largest lagoon in the world once completed. Due to the success of the project, the developers have decided to add an additional 10 hectares of lagoon, taking the total lagoon area to 48 hectares.

Such a large and prestigious project required the very best waterproofing and substrate protection solution. VIP was chosen as the supply and apply partner for this project. The application was completed within a few months to the complete satisfaction of the owner.
