The Emirates Airline near the O2 arena in London needed protection inside a wall to ensure 100% bomb protection of the building. Our Keighley fabricator recommended using a special variant of QuickSpray Supreme designed for protection in explosive environments. The wall was sanded, all areas cleaned, then primed with QuickPrime 2K Epoxy SF for a better bond to the substrate and then coated using a Gaco Reaktor HX-P2 hot spray machine. The layer thickness of at least 6 mm was consistently achieved and the tensile tests showed extremely good adhesion to the substrate. The wall is now well protected and the customer and users of this popular London attraction can use Emirates Airline across the Thames with peace of mind.
