The operator of a biogas plant in Leopoldshöhe in East Westphalia was looking for a system that would reliably seal the corn silo storage tank of the biogas plant. That’s why our coater, Rüdiger Schmidt, recommended QuickFill SL Soft as a seal and QuickSpray Industrial, a 100% pure 2K polyurea hot spray system, for subsequent coating. The entire joint surfaces of the concrete elements were cleaned and then primed with QuickPrime 1K PU. Then the joints were grouted with QuickFill SL Soft. Finally, QuickSpray Industrial, concrete gray RAL7005, was applied to the entire primed surface using a Graco Reactor HX-P2 thermal spray machine. This created a waterproof membrane around the joints, which finally provides the necessary tightness and also closes well to the asphalt. The customer is very satisfied with the end result and has already recommended the system to others within 2 days due to the quick implementation.
