Ball mills are used to crush the rocks after the mining process. This process involves crushing the rocks before being sent to the floatation tank for further processing. Originally, these steel mills are lined with rubber linings and can as thick as 6-12mm, and will be replaced once or 2 twice a year depending on the maintenance schedule. The VIP Coatings polyurea coating system was proposed to lined the mills as it have higher abrasion resistant properties. It also offers anti corrosion properties which are requires for high humidity environment which accelerates corrosion. At 6mm thickness, it offers the best corrosion and abrasion protection on the mills.
