VIP Coatings supplied and installed the high-performance roof waterproofing system for the approx. 4,000 m² area of a renowned bank in Johannesburg, South Africa through a certified applicator. As waterproofing is only as good as the substrate it adheres to, the existing screed was completely redone from the foundation up, including all outside landings, to ensure correct falls. Key technical challenges included spraying around and beneath chiller units, as well as the meticulous preparation of the steel lip channels for the facade gondola system to achieve a flat, polished finish for optimal adhesion. This seamless system ensures long-term, maintenance-free performance under demanding conditions and was successfully delivered within a five-month project timeline.
