The management company of a multi-storey car park outside Oslo needed to protect their existing three-deck parking garage. The goals: a fully watertight system to prevent leakage onto the lower decks, combined with high surface protection against wear and tear, and easy maintenance.

Our approved applicator, Jetmen Protection from Åmli, together with VIP’s technical team, recommended Quickspray Industrial Slow — a slow-set floor coating developed for flooring applications requiring a flat, even finish without dry overspray.

The existing concrete was shotblasted, defective areas repaired, and all surfaces thoroughly cleaned before being primed with Quickprime 2K Epoxy SF for optimal adhesion to the substrate. The coating was then applied using a Gaco Reaktor HX-P2 hot-spray machine.

A film thickness of at least 3 mm was achieved throughout, and pull-off tests confirmed excellent adhesion to the substrate. The parking garage is now reliably protected for years to come.
