At the MENALAC Health, Safety & Sustainability Day, Ehab presented how innovative polyurea coatings are addressing current challenges in waterparks, lagoons, and resort pools – developed in close collaboration with operators, developers, and manufacturers.

The focus was on safety by design: Anti-slip textures were refined following repeated reports of slip incidents from operators. Seamless applications help eliminate tripping hazards and water leaks, while padded solutions for high-impact areas – such as surf pools – were created based directly on feedback from lifeguards.

Sustainability was also a key topic: With a service life of up to 100 years, polyurea significantly reduces material waste. Watertight seals prevent water loss, and the fast, low-emission application process minimizes environmental impact. Its UV and chemical resistance ensures long-term performance without the need for harmful maintenance procedures.

Ehab emphasized that the best solutions come from direct dialogue with the industry – where real challenges such as microbial growth or structural stress emerge.
